Story Description:

The Powder Magazine in Colonial Williamsburg is one of the eighty-nine original structures that have survived since the eighteenth century. It is full of history and played an important role in the events that helped pave the road to the American Revolution.

A bold and deceptive act carried out in the center of Colonial Williamsburg by the Colony’s Royal Governor included a blatant gunpowder heist that would only serve to further ignite the passion for independence from British rule.
