Queen City Quarantine | Charlotte, North Carolina | Uptown, Business Closures

Story Description:

Charlotte, North Carolina remained largely under non-essential business closure orders, with much of the city still in lockdown. Streets were quieter than usual, and the usual hustle and bustle of the Queen City had slowed to a near standstill.

We wanted to take a drive through Uptown to get a first-hand look at the city and see the current condition of this Southern hub amid the ongoing global situation.

As we navigated the empty streets, shuttered businesses, and sparsely populated sidewalks, it became clear how dramatically daily life had changed. The usual energy of Charlotte’s downtown core was replaced by an unusual stillness, giving a rare perspective on a city in pause.
