Inside, the museums offer an astonishing variety of art and artifacts. From fine and amateur folk art to British masterworks, mechanical wonders, decorative arts, sculptures, fragments, early textiles from the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries, and intricate furnishings, the range of historical treasures is remarkable. Every piece tells a story, inviting visitors to slow down and examine the details, craftsmanship, and cultural significance up close.

During our visit, we had the pleasure of seeing several of the Art Museums’ current special exhibits, including A Gift to the Nation, Keeping Time, Art of the Quilter, The Art of Edward Hicks, Promoting America, and American Folk Pottery. Each exhibit offers a unique perspective on the past, highlighting the artistry, skill, and imagination of people from different eras.

We took our time wandering through the galleries, discovering the treasures, artifacts, and antiquities carefully preserved for curious visitors. Every corner of the museum offers a glimpse into history, from delicate textiles to ornate silver, and from early furniture to fascinating mechanical objects.
