More Story Details:

Seen by millions over the years, the film was almost entirely shot throughout Colonial Williamsburg, featuring many of the historic buildings and scenes that visitors will encounter on a trip to the city.

This roughly 36-minute motion picture follows a newly elected Virginia burgess as he weighs the pros and cons of the colony’s bold pursuit of independence. The film offers a glimpse of Williamsburg as it would have appeared on the eve of the American Revolution, complete with appearances by a host of well-known Founding Fathers within the 18th-century Capitol of the Colony of Virginia.

It is a must-see for anyone planning a visit to Colonial Williamsburg and remains a frequently repeated favorite for locals and history enthusiasts alike.
